Enconnex earned the 2023 Cabling Innovators Award’s highest honor of platinum for its flagship data center cabinet, InfiniRack.
Reno, NV – In its article recapping this year’s honorees, CIM describes the awards program as designed to “recognize organizations and people who drive the ICT industry forward. It awards ingenuity and innovation wherever it is found in the value chain of cabling-system specification, design, installation, and administration.” Award entries are reviewed by a panel of industry professionals and awarded based on the following six criteria: innovation, value to the user, sustainability, meeting a defined need, collaboration, and impact.
The article goes on to describe the InfiniRack as such:
“InfiniRack from Enconnex offers what the company describes as “infinite possibilities” and endlessly customizable options to data center users who want a new, modern, technologically superior cabinet. The product’s development follows years of learning customers’ needs and pain points with cabinets. InfiniRack is configured-to-order; there is no standard unit. “The standard is what the customer makes it,” Enconnex says. InfiniRack offers literally millions of configurations to meet customers’ exact needs.
Dual power distribution unit (PDU) channels are integrated into the frame’s rear corners, allowing for recessed PDU mounting and maximizing access to rack-mounted equipment. This configuration minimizes the possibility of a PDU getting in the way of rack-mounted equipment in 600-mm-wide cabinets. The cabinet’s PDU mounting brackets accommodate most standard PDU heights, allowing for toolless mounting and easy adjustment.
Finger-style cable managers are distributed in 1U increments and are available in short or long options. A telescoping adjustable horizontal cable trough in the cabinet’s 800-mm-wide version provides a front-to-rear cable pathway.
With a static load rating of 4000 pounds and dynamic load rating of 3000 pounds, InfiniRack comes standard with four heavy-duty 2.5-inch swivel casters and leveling feet. Airflow features include brush-sealed openings in the top and bottom panels, an optional air dam kit, and, in the 800-mm version, five openings in the equipment rails for cable passthrough.”
When asked for a comment about the award, Duke Robertson, VP of Product Management, Sales, and Marketing at Enconnex, said, “We are honored to have earned a platinum Innovator Award this year. At Enconnex, our tagline is “Born to Innovate,” and the InfiniRack is a manifestation of that. We saw an opportunity to better serve the market with a next-generation data center cabinet and got to work. I’m proud of our team’s dedication to innovation with the development of the InfiniRack and would like to congratulate the rest of the honorees this year for their commitment to moving the ICT industry forward.”
As both an ISO 14001:2015 and an ISO 9001:2015-certified company, Enconnex is committed to maximizing customer satisfaction while reducing its environmental footprint. The company is driven by a desire to fulfill the needs of its customers today and into the future.
